From a rented house with 30 students in 1977 to a thriving institution shaping generations — discover the journey of St. Anne's School, Sira.
St. Anne's School, Sira — run by the management of St. Anne's Educational Society, Bangalore — was started on 15th June 1977 by Sr. Presentation, the then Superior General of the Sisters of St. Anne, Bangalore. Sr. Agnes was the first Superior of the community, and Sr. Rosamma was appointed the first Head Mistress, along with Sisters Rosy I and Rosaline Antony, who started the school at Sira.
Thirty students were enrolled in the first batch, in a rented house. The pioneers faced many hurdles to bring up this institution to its present level. Through the untiring efforts of the management, staff, parents and well-wishers, the institution gradually grew in strength, discipline and academic excellence.
Recognising the increasing educational needs of rural children, the school was upgraded to High School on 16th July 1985, with Sr. Benigna as the first Headmistress — a historic movement that opened new doors of knowledge. A new era began with the opening of St. Anne's PU College on 15th June 2015, with combinations of PCMB, PCMC and EBAC.

We admit students without any selection criteria, as our main aim is to serve the lower strata of society and to transform it through education. We are proud to be the first English medium school in Sira to run with departmental permission.
